June 14th - The Sunburners - - Taste of FR

 Friends of the Arts is happy to sponsor this exciting cover band on the brick street. They will be performing from 7-10 p.m. to help kick off the Fort Recovery Jubilee celebration. The SunBurners Island Party Band mixes summertime hits with authentic steel drums and feel-good vibes. They are known throughout the midwest and East Coast as a premier act at community festivals from April-September. The band covers artists like Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Bob Marley, the Eagles, Stevie Wonder, and many more. Country, reggae, yacht rock, top 40, calypso - With steel drums and island rhythms, the SunBurners put their own unique spin on each song. Add that to the group's fun-loving attitude and you'll see why for four years they have helped us create a fun, festive atmosphere on the brick street.

June 25th - Green De Villas

If you enjoy a huge variety of music delivered in a professional and fun way, you’ll love the Green De Villes! They showcase Bill Westfall on lead guitar, Will Stacy playing bass, Mike Homan on drums and Cindy Slick belting out vocals. Everyone takes their turn on the mic to bring you great songs including Rock, Blues and Country from the 1950’s to now. You’ll hear songs from the Beatles, Eagles, Ozzy, Kentucky Headhunters, Susan Tedeschi, Pat Benatar, Blondie, Patsy Cline, Ingrid Andress and more!

July 16th - Sounds of Summer - A Beach Boys Tribute

Sounds of Summer is a tribute show based in Southern Indiana that includes over 30 familiar hits and tells the story of America’s band - the Beach Boys. These four incredibly talented guys have known each other since grade school and shared a love of 1960’s music and Beach Boys’ harmonies. The band has been playing across the nation since 2015, delivering audiences an authentic look and sound, taking them back to memories of the 1960s. Sounds of Summer has received praise for staying true to the Beach Boys sound and had the privilege of playing a live hour-long special on AXS TV’s “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” on September 2016. This show isn’t just fun…it’s fun, fun, fun!

July 23rd - Wally & The Beavs

 

Wally & The Beavs performs a variety of popular Motown and classic rock music, including cover songs by Steely Dan, The Beatles, Chicago, and other respected artists. The band is known for very strong vocal harmonies complimented by a dynamic horn section.

July 30th - My Yellow Rickshaw

Let My Yellow Rickshaw “boldly take you where no cover band has gone before!” Since 2009, this rotating group of friends, neighbors and musicians have been entertaining folks around Indianapolis with humor, variety and seamless covers into every show. From Taylor Swift to Timberlake, Zac Brown Band to Alabama, The Temptations to Van Morrison, Cyndi Lauper to Guns ‘N Roses, TLC to Usher, plenty of top 40 and hip-hop, and even an Irish jig or two, you will hear musical selections from the 1950’s to today’s current hits. With a refreshing lineup of sounds that includes fiddle, mandolin, upright bass, harmonica and melodica (what’s that, you ask?), My Yellow Rickshaw will take you on a unique and hilarious journey at every show.

August 7th - Blue Leafs (60's through 80's)

The Blue Leaf’s, a rising star of the Dayton music scene, is a 4-piece rock band reviving the sounds of the 60s, 70s, and 80s for modern audiences with their 'Throwback Rock n Roll' style.
